The past twelve summers of my life have been dull, lonely, and depressing. I didn't properly balance my working and social lives, so this summer I've decided to change that. I have embraced spontaneity and taken the reins of my life.


Yesterday my dear friend Olivia surprised me with tickets to the Waterfront Film Festival in Saugatuck, MI. It's an adorable little town with friendly faces, a beach, great dining, and cute stores. We sipped on yummy coffee and devoured tasty pastries, put flowers in our hair, went thrifting, and flounced around in pretty dresses. The night sky was gorgeous and we laid down on a blanket and looked for shooting stars and made a few wishes. Could we be any cuter?


A few local bands opened the event and Liv and I made eyes with one of the vocalists and decided to go blow some bubbles on a nearby dock. A few minutes into the next show, the previous Vocalist and his Friend came walking up to us with a bunch of their friends standing off watching. They asked us to the after party, and then invited us to their show tonight at Bell's Brewery. If things go well, we're going to invite them to a friend's party! Did I mention they're all super cute? ;)

Hola amigos! I woke up today and set off to open the store, but I ended up looking at the wrong hours and showed up 4 hours early to my shift!  Instead of being upset about getting up early for "no reason", I ran some errands around town. I won't be able to see any of my friends today, but it's a beautiful day today so hopefully I can turn it around!

"$1 Stuff A Bag" Thrift Haul!

I absolutely can't wait to wear this when fall comes back around! It's my favorite color and I am obsessed with oversized sweaters.

These pants have a few holes in them, but they only cost me 15¢, so why not?

I grabbed some cute crop tops, tank tops, a gorgeous sweater, and some awesome pants. Who could be happier?

The weather was absolutely gorgeous! Today has been treating me very well. I had peanut butter oatmeal for breakfast, sat next to a cute boy in class, and now I'm drinking tea with my roommate and doing homework. Happy Monday to everyone! How has your day been?

 Thank goodness it is finally the weekend! I can't wait to kick back and enjoy the sun for the next few days. Tomorrow I am going with some friends to Ann Arbor with some of my favorite people for the whole day. The entire day will consist of a small road trip, picnics in the sun, music, and good laughs. Can't wait!

Summer's Color

Even though we're a few weeks away from summer, it feels like it's finally arrived. The sun is out until 9 at night and everyone's feeling frisky, especially me! I can't wait to go to the beach and swim, and sit out on the patio with friends and drink lemonade.

Welcome!!

One of my favorite ways to pass the time is to browse fashion blogs. I have never done one, or anything like it, so I decided to create a personal fashion photo blog! I am quite happy about this decision and I can't wait to see this blog grow!

Today I had an interview at Charlotte Russe in the mall, so I needed to wear something that was trendy and young, but I still wanted to look somewhat professional.

 My mother got this necklace for me. When my umbilical cord was cut, there was an imprint of a five pointed star in my bellybutton. Ever since then, she called me little star :)

 The perfect summer bag!

 The interviewer, who happened to be the manager, didn't mind my tattoos!

I came up with the idea for this ring by using an old bracelet chain. The chain was too big for my wrist and would slide right off, so I wrapped it around my finger three times and ta-da!
